Double-hand Poker is a modern game with old origins. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the west in an excellent game for beginner level gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the croupier, unlike the majority of other poker games that players bet against other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginning players don’t need to worry about any other, more knowledgeable players winning their moolla.
Another Pai Gow benefit is the relatively leisurely game pace, novices should be able to take their time and plan without having to make hasty choices.
It is also much simpler to enjoy for a very long time with only a little amount of cash after all, to not win, both of your hands has to be lower than each of the houses hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and a single joker. The player is assigned seven cards face up and the casino is dealt 7 cards face down.
A 5 card hand and a 2 card hand need to be put together from the seven cards, the five card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the dealer’s.
