Double-hand Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the east with the wild west in a wonderful game for new players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler vs. the casino, unlike the majority of other poker games that gamblers wager against other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, new players don’t have to worry about any other, more knowledgeable individuals taking their cash.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is assigned seven cards face up and the casino is dealt seven cards face down.

One five card hand and one two card hand need to be put together from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be higher than the dealer’s.
