Web poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its television scores. Over the years numerous types on the first poker game have been created, including some games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to chemin de fer than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or other kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the dealer announcing "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course every one of the other players are given five cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the dealer’s first card, you need to in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s value is on same level to your original bet, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your ante goes instantaneously to the casino. After the wager comes the face off. If the bank does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with an amount equal to the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The house pays cash even with your ante and fixed expectations on your call wager. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
